What do they do exactly... ?

I'm looking at a Sager NP8662, and these are my sound card options...

    Sound Blaster Compatible 3D Audio

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Surround 5.1 Channels 24-bit External USB Sound Card

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi ExpressCard 24-bit Sound Card

Creative Sound Blaster X-Fi Xmod Wired/Wireless Sound Card System

I like my music alot, and would be using my laptop to play music, but also would like to be able to plug it into the surround sound system... can someone please help explain these to me? (Google wasn't much help...)
