    Hello everyone,

I very recently bought an Alienware 17 with the GTX880m and I'm having problems like everyone else. Just had the first AW17 replaced with a second one. I was well aware of the issues and the 980m launch just around the corner, but I needed it now and figured I could always have it replaced once the new ones hit the market.

And that's my plan. I had a conversation with my Dell rep. earlier and told him that I was gonna abuse the out of the NBD support until I get a working card, and he very quickly agreed that replacing my 880m 5 days a week would not benefit either of us in the long run.

He told me to call him once 980m was available, but unfortunately didnt give me a date.

How is everyone else gonna approach this?

I don't have 880m, but if I was in yoir shoes, I'd just ring the guy back on 7th October and ask for a 980m replacement

I would wait and call him when the 980M is out... Hopefully it should be next week and sometime in Oct for alienware...
