    Hello,

I'm using a Dell Inspiron 640m as laptop, and now I was wondering whether I should remove the battery whenever I'm using it at home and when the battery's been completely recharged. Or should I just leave it in there? Isn't there a risk of it overcharging?

Not that I'm aware of but don't quote me on it. It appears that once it is completely charged it goes into an idle state where the computer cuts off the power being sent to it from the AC adapter. In other words it redirects the flow of electricity to the computer instead of the battery.
