    Should I get 16GB RAM or 8GB + 128GB SSD?

I'm thinking about getting an Alienware 15. 150$ upgrade for m2 128GB, or 150$ upgrade for 8GB more RAM. What is more worth? Should I even upgrade?

Both of those upgrades are priced at a lot more than the cost of the components unless the normal RAM is chucked in the bin. If you think you need more RAM then buy just 1 x 8GB with the computer so you can add your own RAM.

    No.

You can definitely do better than that...

I would recommend purchasing the SSD yourself after market. You can do better than $150 for 128GB. You can get a 256GB M.2 SSD for $150.

In terms of RAM, the going rate these days is around $70-$80 per 8GB.

So yeah, my answer is NONE. Buy the SSD yourself and install it.

I would personally chose the SSD - you'll get a better boost to performance (IMO) from a SSD for your OS and programs than an extra 8GB of RAM.

Unless you're playing some insane games at insanely high settings, or doing some intense work, 8GB is plenty.

No don't do either.. Get it as bone stock as you can with minimun RAM and HDD's and do the upgrades yourself.. It's easy and much cheaper...
