I’ve got a Sony NEC Optiarc DVD burner Model Number AD-7530B that came in a MSI laptop. The drive works OK but the problem is that every time you inadvertently touch the door it ejects. I’m not talking about pushing the button. I mean if you even brush the plastic door with hardly any force it ejects. Then sometimes it takes two tries to get it to stay closed. Since this is basically a top of the line optical drive I hate to have to buy another and I don’t want to send the whole laptop back. I’ve pulled it out of the notebook but that seems a short term solution at best. Anybody have any ideas on how to fix this thing before I lose my temper and break it.

Maybe they'll send you a new drive.
