    Seeing what my laptop is showing on TV

    Hello
    I'm trying to get what my laptop is displaying on TV. I got an S video cable and connected it from my laptop to the TV but nothing is showing. Am i doing something wrong? Did i forget to install something? Should i do something on my computer? TV? What channel would it show up on?

    Help!!!

    It should show up on either Video1 or Video2, depending on what S Video Port you have it plugged into on the TV.

    If you're running windows vista, it should automatically configure the connection and ask you what you want to display on the TV. But if not you may need to go to Windows Mobility Center -> Connect Display. You can also hit FN + F4.

    Once you hook the computer up to the television, you will have to use the remote to configure the rest. Simply look on your remote for a tv input, or a line in button, click on that, and it should flash in and out a few times, and then pick up the video signal from the laptop.

    You may also have to go into the graphics card control panel and select the image to appear on screen 2 rather than screen 1. You should right click the desktop, and go to properties in XP, or go to the personalize tab in Vista. Than just configure the graphics display to go onto the external screen (screen 2)

    The problem is my TV's remote is broken and i use the receiver's which works for the TV as well. =/
