I just got a new IBM/Lenovo Thinkpad T60 15.4" WXGA. The reason I got the 15.4" as opposed to a more portable version was because I have trouble seeing things on small screens and reading small text. But everything on this computer is smaller than on my old 15" monitor! Why is this? Is there any way I can fix it? When I change the screen resolution to make everything bigger it's very fuzzy.

It sucks to be computer illiterate. :(

Your 15" was probably a SXGA (1400x1050) while your WSXGA is (1280x768)
You can't make the resolution bigger, you can only make the font bigger but as you've noticed it makes things fuzzy.

You might be able to return the notebook if you're not satisfied and get a better resolution.

Thanks for the reply. My 15" is 1024x768, though, and not SXGA. From what I've researched, it sounds like SXGA actually makes text harder to read, which is why I opted to get just the XGA.

I'm going to call Lenovo and see what they'll do, but my understanding is that they no longer accept returns of opened laptops :(

sorry got some things mixed up on that relpy. the 1280x768 is WXGA

You should try changing your DPI, it should be an advanced option in your display settings. I think normal DPI is 96 or something like that, but you can increase it. that might make the smaller resolution less fuzzy
