Hello my gf got a 13 inch laptop from Benq, but today when she woke up and turned it on the screen won't work properly. Everything else works fine but the screen does not show any light. You have to hold a flash light on the screen to be able to see anything but even than its close to impossible.

Anyone know what might be wrong with the light here or how to fix it?

Is the screen simply not turning on or is it extremely dim, but there is stuff on there? If the first, it might be that some button/mechanism that automatically shuts off the screen when the lid is closed is stuck somehow. If the second, then I think your inverter/backlight is out and it may have to be replaced.

it was the second one and i just found out that someone or something had gone to the control panel and chose to deactivate the screen if its not usef for 5 minutes. Very strange, but fixed it now.

If the problem was related to the power options, than the second you go to use the system, the screen will come back on.
If it does not come on from using the touchpad, their may be software driver conflicts preventing the system from operating right.
