    Ok about 5 months ago i took apart my laptop but i accidently slit the plastic outing of a wire that goes to my screen exposing the inner wire there's a black and white striped wire and grey wire a blue wire a black wire and 2 white wires, i managed to slit the grey one

    i think there's another one i slit too but i can't remember or see it but it seems to be working fine is there any problems that might occur?

    If you can see the wire which is split open, you should insulate the wire with electrical tape or hot glue. You should not leave any open wires because the screen is metal, and if that wire shorts on the screen, you could burn out the cable and the screen.

    ok will do that when i can find my tape xD although there's only a small amount of metal near the cable and it'd have to be moved purposely to touch because the surrounding of the wire is plastic xD
