I bought a samsung X65 a few weeks ago, and am dissapointed with the brightness of the screen. So much so that i am considering sending it back under the 28 day money back guarantee. I thought i would get used to it, but it just isn't bright enough.

    It is a matte 1680 x 1050 WSXGA.

Max brightness is about equivalent to 1/2 brightness on my old sony.

Is there anything i can do? I don't want to send it back as other than the screen i think it is a great bit of kit.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

P.S. I have posted here instead of the Samsung forum as it is like a ghost town there.

I'm thinking somewhere along the lines of getting more voltage to the screen rather than simply adjusting the brightness value in the video card.
