I need a 1TB 2.5 drive, and the only one that I can find is the Samsung Spinpoint M8 SATA 3G, 8MB, 5400 RPM, HN-M101MBBa. I see a lot of negative reviews, on various sites. Is it that bad, and are any other brands available?

    Thanks

The alternative would be a WD caviar blue 1TB.

Well all I know is, I got this hard drive for £60 delivered in may.

I'm more than happy with it's performance.
