THIS JUST IN!! VERY IMPORTANT IF YOU PLAN TO GET THIS LAPTOP WITH 8970M or 8970m X-FIRE!!!

Based on what I believe as strong evidence, the 8970m and 8970m X-fire will NOT be available with the 120hz 3d version of this laptop. It will only support NVidia 3D. (This is found out by looking at the manual, particularly "Model C". This is the 120hz version; however, it says nothing of the AMD 3D technology, only Nvidia. This leads me to the inevitable conclusion...the only options, graphically, for this notebook 120hz 3d version will be NVIDIA cards and NVIDIA only...most likely high end 770m & 780m cards, most likely SLI'ed as well.

If you plan to get this laptop w/ the 8970m X-fire and are waiting for the120hz and/or 3d version, you are wasting your time. Either wait and pay for the overpriced NVidia 780m SLI, or buy the 60hz or current version of this laptop now w/ 8970m or 8970m X-fire. That is all.

It's a well known fact that 3D isn't available to AMD users, at least on laptops.

    Just sayin'.

the point was AMD users won't get a 120hz screen...I really don't care about 3d gaming...

I wanted my crossfired 8970's to play games at 120 FPS, instead I'll be watching my screen tear unless I turn on vsync...

Will this laptop definitely be getting a 3D screen in the future?

    My reseller was unsure.
