Would there be any increase in file transfer speeds when transfering files from ssd (sata III) to external hdd (sata II) connected via usb 3.0 or esata compared to hdd (sata II) to external hdd (sata II) via usb 3.0 or esata?

My notebook is Dell XPS L502X with core i7 2630 qm processor and 4 gb RAM.

Probably not. Sequential speed will be limited by external hdd.
Unless "hdd (sata II)" is even slower than than the external.
Or if the eSATA or USB 3.0 connection are internally connected in a bad way.
