Sorry I'm new here and I did try and search first.

I have a Dell XPS m1210 and I am trying to replace my hitachi 80 gig 7200rpm SATA with a Runcore 64g SATA III SSD. I can't get the system to see the drive. This SSD has a usb connector and I can see the drive through USB but when I install the drive and look at the BIOS it says "none" for primary hard drive. I upgraded my BIOS to A08 which is the most current.

Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

is SATA 3 out yet? If your drive is SATA 3 it could be a compatibility issue with your (i'm assumeing) SATA 2 notebook interface. never heard of this runcore drive...

by the specs read/write 177mbs/95mbs looks like a jmicron controller MLC drive. i think i've heard of this issue concerning other jmicron drives (OCZ). you may want to take a look at the ocz forums or think about returning it.
