    Hi there, quick question.

    Will my D620 still function with a SATA2 hard drive installed (I.E - basically putting a SATA2 drive in a laptop that supports 1.5GB/s 'SATA')?

    As I've hit a nice bargain earlier and am slightly concerned if it will work or not.

    Thanks.

    Yes. No problem at all.
    Works both ways
    SATA 1.5Gb/s --> 3.0Gb/s
    or :
    SATA 3.0Gb/s --> 1.5Gb/s.
