When i got my dell notebook inspiron 9400 i found out you cannot use the record what you hear function found on many of the past computers. I have found that the Sigmatel sound cards and drivers which dell installs does not work. I have looked all over for a work around and have found a few but i have still had no success. I guess what i want to know is can i install a new sound card in my dell. Please be advise I'm not very computer literate and i bought this laptop as a way to teach myself a thing or two. Have other had this issue and what did you do to resolve it. Thank you in advance.
