That's the one I have laying in my house, I think it came out of an Apple since it has an Apple logo on it.

Basically a Seagate 7200.1 100GB 2.5" HD. I believe it's a SATA 1.5GB/s connection. Above link should have all info. I have no clue what to look for in enclosures, just need to turn this drive into an external one for my own use w/ a USB or eSATA port. Newegg has options for choosing the internal interface, but I'm not sure which one to pick between IDE, SATA (I'm guessing this one), SATA I/II, SATA & IDE (this is what confuses me).

    Any help appreciated.

looking at the startup current (max), it is more than what 2 USB ports can provide. It's possible that any 2.5" enclosure that only uses the dual-head usb cable may not provide enough power for it to start up properly.

I use a coolmax 2.5" SATA that has the dual head and it worked with the 7200.2 and 7200.3 but I have not had a 7200.1 to test it with so I can't guarantee that it would work.

    Well that's not good. I don't want to throw a free 100GB 7200RPM away and spend $43 on a 60GB 5400RPM one :(

Two USB ports should be handle the spin up on the drive, as it uses just under 4w.

You need a SATA enclosure. SATA I & II are backwards compatible, so don't worry about it.
