I want a lighter laptop than my current Clevo, which has an i7-4700mq, GTX 780M. It works perfectly fine, it's just too heavy and it's really scratched up. Could I transfer at least the GTX 780M into another laptop? It is MXM 3.0b.

Yea, but the current light laptops have soldered 10xx series, which outperform the 780m by a fair bit.

Most current laptops come with soldered components.

Indeed... The 780M is dated too... A bottom line 1050ti can beat it... Probably best to sell the entire thing and get a new laptop!!
