I have just restored my hp dv9827 to factory defaults and finished updating and installing all the drivers I need. When I updated my windows experiance score it says my RAM only scores 5.3 - but it used to score 5.9 before the restore. This is frustrating me now, I know it doesnt make a huge difference but i would still like it to be as good as it can.

    Anybody any ideas?

WEI is a very inaccurate benchmarking tool.

    Never use it..

If you want to see real benchmarks, download and install SISsandra.
You can run actual memory benchmarks which will show latency and actual memory data throughput.
You can compare the values of your memory with other systems, and with both kits of memory.
The higher density memory will have a slightly higher data bandwidth, so regardless of what WEI says, your memory is performing better.

    SIS sandra download site:
    http://downloads.guru3d.com/Sandra-XL-download-177.html

When installed, go to the benchmarks tab, and click "memory bandwidth" and "memory latency" to run benchmarks on your memory cards.

I installed the HP chipset drivers, and I also tried the NVIDIA nforce go drivers (im pretty sure the chipset in my laptop is nforce 520 which is listed as compatible with the official nvidia - i dont know if anyone else knows different).
I think ill just have to leave it as it is.

    Thanks for the replies :)
