What specific ram types would be good for that model?
Does the latency of both sticks have to be the same?
    I'm really a n00b at this :)

    Any anyone reccomend some good 1gb sticks..under 140usd? :)

Make sure your laptop has a slot open for another stick of RAM. Kingston and Crucial both have lifetime warranties, and are the top 2 brands.

Yea well I ordered the laptop from dell with 2 X 256mb sticks.
So I can just crack open the bottom, pull out a 256 and stick in a 1gb stick right?Or is it soldered on..

No, it has two RAM slots. And yes - just open it up, take out one of the two 256MB's, and slap in the 1G stick. ;)

The ram I listed from crucial should work perfectly right?
I saw that someone else had a 700m and it worked.
    I'm getting a 710m however..still no problem?
