I plan to upgrade my m6600 as soon as it arrives this week. As it's 4 DIMM slots supports up to either 2 modules of 16GB 1600MHz or 4 modules of 32GB 1333MHz, and the processor supports dual channel (I'm unsure if the mainboard's chipset supports quad channel so if someone knows great :hi2 :) I'll spring for the 2 1600MHz modules.

Unfortunately I couldn't find any with a CL under 10 that was less than $100.
    My options:

    Corsair Vengeance ($83.98)
    10-10-10-27 latency
    1.5 Volts
    Auto-overclocking

    Crucial (79.99)
    CL: 11
    1.35 Volts
    -------

I was thinking the comparable CL would go unnoticed so it ultimately comes down to the increased battery savings :D vs the increased performance due to the overclocking :D. Unless the cash required for lower latencies is justifiable, or someone has other suggestions I'd appreciate any feedback concerning the two.

why do you need to overclock your RAM? you prob wouldnt notice any difference anyways. what you probably want to do is spend money on a ssd

I ordered the system with 2GB of RAM to self-upgrade so I'd prefer some high quality modules. The primary is a 120GB SSD with perhaps a 750GB Scorpio Black as secondary.
