Type 8932 indicates your have a 15.4" ThinkPad R61, however there are two BIOS updates so you need to figure whether your system comes with an IEEE 1934 (Firewire) port. The IEEE 1934 port should be on the front left of the system.

If your system does come with an IEEE 1934 Firewire port then your BIOS update is this.

If your system doesn't come with an IEEE 1934 Firewire port then your BIOS update is this.

The same applies when using Middleton's Modified BIOS should you want to remove the Wi-Fi card restrictions and SATA cap.

    definitely the modded bios.

do i need to mod the bios ISO from lenovo since i have 7 64 bit? i'm asking under the assumption that the windows xp/pe live boot i'm about to try don't work. ...assuming i use the exe utility from lenovo separate of the bios file and use the modded bios.

EDIT: DOH! It comes with every thing you need.
