I bought a 2720qm ES on ebay, on cpu-z and aida64 it shows 8mb cache. Also in the sellers ebay listing. I thought this processor is only suppose to have 6mb cache? I don't have a problem with it :) Just wondering what is going on. Is there any real downfall to buying a ES processor? I've had quiet a bit in the last few years, haven't had any problems. Thanks in advance fellas

Well i saw that before, it's a early version of ES, not QS, but should also work fine. :)

(cpu-z_1.57-64bits-en): 6Meg Level 3 - 12 way 64bit line size - first cpu-z COULD be making an assumption based on some other parameter ... so IT COULD be wrong ... but from what I understand there is no physical difference between a 2720 and 2820 other than the 2820 passed certain tests, and configured according before it goes out the door. An engineering sample COULD be different than what is being shipped retail.

Mine seems to have the occasional blinking caps at power on. It will come up the second time. I've also seen it do something similar when trying to sleep. I've already did some of the work for you and got futuremark and hwbot to recognize it (they updated their database for me) :)

EDIT: I also had to force the latest HD 3000 drivers to install. It kept saying it could not find compatible hardware.
