Has anyone ever needed to take a company up on their protection plan? If so, what company was it and how did it go; that is, did they try/succeed at denying a replacement?

    Thanks,
    Howie

I know people do it with Best Buy all the time with little trouble.

I bought my Toshiba 5005-S504 at Best Buy and bought their 3-year plan, after about a year and a half my battery was shot, and all I did was go in and they gave me this paper with a number to call on it, and less than a week later, my new battery was delivered to my door.
