On the Vostro I'm thinking of getting, I am looking at the following processors, about $200 - $250 separating the cheapest from the most expensive in the below list:
    T5470
    t7100
    t7250
    t7300

If the only game I am playing is FSX, and otherwise I am doing basic stuff (net surfing), is there any reason to get more than the t5470?? Will FSX benefit at all from the processor (I'll be getting a 8600M GT video card)??

    Thanks!

The most you probably need for gaming is the T5470.
If you do video encoding or editing, I suggest that you upgrade to a better one.

Microsoft recommends 1Ghz CPU for FSX so you should be fine with T5470, oh and FSX has SP1 available which gives multi core improvements.
