Just this morning my friend opened his toshiba notebook. But when he opened the LCD Screen was totally black out. The machine was working but the screen was not. What do you think is the problem? My friend asked to help but i cannot trouble shoot the problem. The LCD was really not working and nothing appears from the start of boot.

Either the invertor or the lamp has gone bad. Have you tried to hook up an external monitor to make sure the video card is working properly?
