I am having an issue with my graphics card while playing dvd movies. It will not downclock into battery saving mode apparently, while I am playing a dvd movie. I use notebook hardware control to set my graphics card functions and while on maximum battery mode it cuts the gpu processor power in half. However, as soon as I start playing a dvd the number jumps back up to its normal levels. I was wondering if this is something normal, or if there is some setting I need to play around with.

I have a HP NC6400 which comes with the ATI X1300 graphics card. Thanks so much for any help. The reason I bring this up is because I am sure this is eating up valuable battery life that doesn't need to be.
