If I went to another country and used a power convertor for my notebook, could that damage it or would my notebook be fine?

I am not sure about your question, but I am sure that 99% (or more) of notebooks accept a voltage rating of 110-240V, so you can use them all over the world. You just need to get an adaptor to change the design of the plug.

I feel your pain and worry. I've used power converters on my notebook with no problems.
