Hi, i'm not sure exactly what is going on but I was having difficulty with my laptop earlier today. Call of Duty 2 had some issues exiting and I ended up with 2-4 dumpreps in my processes and they were taking up 200-340mb a piece at any given time, and under performance, 1.2gigs of my pagefile was being used. I powered down, started back up, and under performance, it still says pagefile usage, though now it's around 240-350, which is my usual memory usage.
My question is, what happened to my memory section under performance? What exactly does this mean, is it still memory being used or is it pagefile now? Under Physical Memory, 437,000 K are still available when i'm using ~400 mb of my page file. I'm very confused and only slightly concerned. Any input is appreciated and thanks in advance.

With 1 GB RAM the pagefile should be around 1-1,2 GB. With my 2GB it is around 2,1 GB. I don't know what happened, but Windows use available memory first, and then use pagefile (well not exactly true, but it is similar to that). So you will always have some physical mem free, and the rest will be stored into a page file.
Hope it helps,

Yeah it's just weird that instead of showing the "Memory" it shows "Page File"
Page File
