    Hello internet!

About 6 months ago, I bought a new laptop by Packard Bell. It has done me very nicely, and can handle modern games using just the integrated AMD Radeon HD7660G. The only thing I have noticed with this laptop is that the RAM could be a little better.

The laptop ships with 1 stick of 4GB DDR3 RAM (by Hyundai, CPU-Z tells me), running at 1333 MHz. I am looking to upgrade this to 8GB, since I am only left with 3.5GB RAM once the APU's 512MB usage is taken into account.

I will be using two matching sticks of ram (2x4GB sticks).

Again, using CPU-z, I have identified my mainboard as being a Packard Bell VG50_CM, although this may not be too useful.

All I really want to know is if I am limited to buying sticks that run at 1333 MHz, or whether the laptop will be able to run RAM at higher frequencies. And if anybody wants to recommend some 204-pin RAM, please feel free!

If any more information is required, I'll be happy to provide it!

I have attached an image of my RAM's details.

    Thank you in advance!
    Josh

Assuming you have the A10-4600M, it should be able to utilize up to 1600MHz DDR3.

As for what you should get, all RAM is basically the same; just get something cheap with a good warranty.

Definitely get the fastest, cheapest RAM you can get with a no restocking fee return policy and a lifetime warranty too.

Why the 'fastest'? Even if your computer won't run it at the rated top speed of the SoDIMMs - the responsiveness of the system will still be noticeably faster and will even help with the integrated GPU too.
