Is the PM 55 chipset for the core I7 processors?

I have been comparing Dell Studio 17, XPS 16 and Sager NP8760 all with Core i7-820

The Sager uses the PM55 chipset while the Dell says it uses the PM45 but I thought PM 55 was used with all core i7's?

Update: the Studio XPS 16 says it uses the PM45 (Studio 17 does say PM55)

That's an interesting question. I was not aware that PM45 (Montevina) could support an i7, and even if it did I don't think you'd get hyper-threading. My initial impression is that it's a typo.

PM55 (Calpella) obviously supports i7 + hyperthreading, and is the current mobile chipset.

    It's a typo, the notebook i7s use the PM55.

As sgogeta said, it could be a typo. Considering all those Dell models have a C2D variant built on PM45, it is that the info is not properly updated as PM45 fro Montevina and PM55 for Calpella.
