I know there's some threads about this, but I didn't find the info I was looking for as far as specifics. Maybe someone who is using Crystal CPUID with this cpu can help. I went into the multiplier and voltage adjustment and started dialing the voltage down while running Prime95. I got all the way down to the minimum of 1.113v without an error at 8.5. When I set up the multiplier management I just set it for 6x 7x and 8.5x all at 1.113 as that was the lowest choice. My problem is now when I start up the multiplier management the voltage drops to like 1v (the glimpse i got of it in CPUZ anyways) and then the whole thing locks up BSODs or crashes. Any ideas? I'm thinking its a problem with the transition times or method I'm using. I changed it to min->mid->max for the up steps and left the transition timings alone. Any thoughts?

CrystalCPUID - the multiplier mngmt thing is crud, pretty much. You can assign the highest multiplier the lowest voltage in the EIST window. That should work fine.

Use RMClock! If your CPU is a P8600 then you can safely undervolt to 1.000V or below with no adverse effects (BSOD). Mine is currently idling at 41C and maxing out at 58C after 50 minutes at 100% load :)

nhow has that changed your battery from what it once was prior to undervolting.
