    I just got a gigabyte p2532n, and it's currently on it's way.
Can I do any upgrades to it? Maybe change the hard drive to ssd, and maybe change the GPU?If not, I plan to OC it a bit

The hard drive and memory (8GB max I believe.. Maybe 16GB but 8GB should suffice) are a definite upgrade but I'm not so sure about the NVIDIA GT 550M getting swapped out. Depends if its integrated onto the motherboard, I couldn't find schematic or picture of the motherboard PCB so I'm not really sure on the GPU.

I'm not sure about the GPU either - depends on the connection interface and what the system BIOS will accept. The hard drive would be an easy replacement though, and give you marginally better performance. You'll just need to do a fresh Windows install - or if you clone, make sure the SSD is aligned.

Thanks, unfortunately, the shipper said, while he was testing, a power surge happened...such bad luck, but at least in that case, I found a better laptop, well worth the price too in my opinion, the lenovo ideapad y500, any thoghts on that?

I've always liked Lenovo laptops. Whenever I would service one, they always ran great after the matter - something I can't say about every manufacturer's machine I've worked on. I still recommend you shop around, but Lenovo certainly is not a bad choice in my humble opinion. :)

True, I read some review, and the Y series, really didn't get much good feedback on the build/chassis area, they said the trackpad, and the case itself isn't that great, but yeah, still on the hunt, anything under 1200 that runs 650 and above?

I've heard some things about the trackpad lately as well. Haven't tested one personally yet.

You mean under $1200 running a GeForce 650m or better? Absolutely! There are quite a few options actually. There are some Clevo's that have a 650m or 660m for under $1000, and even a 670mx for just under $1200! Shop around; look into online resellers, and don't forget the ask the resellers thread. :)

Check out the clevo models as they, in my opinion, truly give the best bang for the buck, especially when you consider how hard the good resellers on this forum will work to earn your business.

Can't market or advertise on the forums per forum rules. :) But all the resellers are reasonable and comparably priced, and you can reach us or myself personally anytime if you have questions! And as Ajfountains mentioned - Clevos give good bang for your buck.
