Exactly as the title states. I'm interested in buying a larger hard drive for my laptop and I'm consitering the 160GB samsung flashon or 160GB seagate psd (if I can find it). My only problem is there's little to no information available on the internet regarding performance or power consumption that I can find. Does anyone know of a good review or if you own one, what's your informed opinion?

Also, any news on future hybrid drives?

I too am very interested in HHDD's, but am not satisfied with the current offerings a prices. Does anyone know if there are newer, higher capacity drives on the way?

I've found a few things mentioning seagate drives with 512MB or 1GB flash, but nothing on when. Hopefully they actually make a difference on battery life.

I would totally buy a 1 gig hybrid drive. The current offerings, well it's really just one offering since the Seagate is impossible to find, only have 256 megs and that's not enough to compensate for a 5400 rpm drive. Now 1 gig and 7200 rpms...that'd be sweet!
