    I run my laptop on a PS2 Inverter, it is 100w constant and 200w surge, The original PS2 used 79watts.

    I got mine slightly used on ebay for £8.00 , it has all the low and high voltage warnings.

    I found 1 on amazon, you might have see 1 before! , YOU MIGHT HAVE ONE!

    it has a figure 8 power cable on it.

    Interesting. What is the output voltage and current? Were you lucky that the power plug fitted your notebook or did you change the plug?

    The invertor outputs 240 AC and just plugs into my laptop power adaptor, but an 110volt version is most likely available.

    So no modifications neccassary!

    OK. Thanks. I should have realised when I read the word inverter. What confused me is that the picture on Amazon appears to show input and output leads whereas most inverters have a 12V lead and a 240V socket. I've got one of these as my potable inverter.
