Hi, I have a question regarding the following link:

Can someone please explain what g92-g98 mean and what I should know about each of them? And do their relative numbers have anything to do with seeing higher end GPUs in 15.4" notebooks?

G92 and G98, are the names of the gpu cores. They are related to the cores used in common graphics cards, but you should not worry about it too much.
As you can see in the link, the core relates to a graphics card.
For example a 7950GTX for laptops uses a G70 core.
I hope this clarifies what you wanted to know.

So the cores have nothing to do with the relative size of the video card? I was under the impression that the smaller the core, the smaller the video card becomes so that further revisions of say a 8700m or 8800m can be fit into smaller notebooks.

the number is not the core size, it is the codenumber for internal use at nvidia. Expect the NB9M cores to be the small gpus used in the smaller laptops for a dedicated gpu that sues little power and creates very little heat. The NB9P would be your mid-range products capable of being shoehorned into a few lucky 14 or possibly 13 inchers but mainly seeing use in 15.4" and the base unit for 17" models. The NB9E will probably be 17" only with maybe a very few number of 15" seeing one. I really hope Asus can pull a rabbit out of their hat and get one of those babies working in a C90p (or C90s)

Smaller cores does mean smaller size. As a result, GPU with newer cores are more powerful, as nVidia is able to fit more transistors on each die or something.
This is one way in which processors progress. A modern day Geforce 8400 can be seen as a 'smaller' Geforce 6800 (although not totally true, but you get the point). Therefore, the nVidia Geforce 9 series are more powerful than the first Geforce 8 series (note that some of the latter released Geforce 8 series cards are based on the newer G92 core, so their performance rivals that of the Geforce 9 series). -
