    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T7250 (2MB Cache/2.0GHz/800Mhz FSB)
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB/3MB cache)

There is only a $75 difference so I'm wondering if the T8300 noticeably outperforms the T7250. The only things I'll be doing is having like 10 IE windows open, AIM, music, music downloading, movies, movie downloading, and maybe something like dota.

May be you won't notice it performance wise. But T8300 is cooler as its 45nm and needs lesser power.

I would go for the upgrade, the T8300 has more cache and processing poiwer than the t7250. The T8300 will run a bit cooler and get better battery life, cause its built on the 45nm process.
I think the $75 upgrade is a pretty good price.

I agree with the others 100% for every reason they said. I just want to emphasize with what you stated you will be using it for you will definitely see absolutely no difference between the two in performance. Modest heat reduction but your tasks will not push either so heat is not even much of an issue. I would upgrade even though no reason you need.
