    Hi hope you can help,

    I have a Kingston V+100 96gb installed under ACHI windows 7.

I have just bought a second to run along side it as a data drive however when I insert the SSD it cannot find it. By setting the BIOS to IDE it picks up the new SSD but I cannot boot into windows without a BSOD.

Is there anyway I can get this new SSD to run under ACHI without having to reinstall my OS?

    Thanks

Try RAID? It should be most compatible option.

You have to initialize the drive in Windows 7 before you can use it. Install drive, run in AHCI mode. Boot into Windows, right-click on My Computer and select "manage". Go to the Disk management tab on the left, it will find the new drive and ask to initialize it, let it. Then all set.
