    so,
im thinking of purchasing this HDD
    Newegg.com - Seagate Momentus ST9750420AS 750GB 7200 RPM 16MB Cache 2.5" SATA 3.0Gb/s Internal Notebook Hard Drive -Bare Drive
i currently have the same type but the 320GB one, with all the games and software im down to only 60GB left. Has anyone purchased this hard drive? How good is it? is there a better one?, i don't want to spend too much but i do not want to downgrade either.

Also if i do decide to purchase it whats is the best way to clone the hard drive so the new one can have everything this one has.

    Thanks!

I have it as one of my hard drives. It's a pretty standard hard drive the speed it runs at isn't anything unique for a 7200 rpm drive.

Runs fine has given me no issues.

Not if you will be using it as system drive(as it is a 5400RPM).... it's better to stick with 7200RPM for a system drive or even better get "Momentus XT" :D

The XT has 4GB of SSD cache on the 500GB version, 8GB on the 750GB. Once the drive learns your usage patterns, you'll get SSD like read speeds for booting windows and your most commonly used programs. The writes will remain at the speed of a HDD though. Good compromise between size and speed.
