Fujitsu have released their own 7200RPM, 320GB Laptop drive. Newegg has it for just $89.99, a steal compares to Seagate, WD and Hitachi.

But how about Fujitsu reliability, noise, vibration, heat and performance? Should I save 20 bucks and buy Fujitsu?

And how about the new 500GB, 7200RPM hard drive? I read somewhere that a company has introduced it and planning to release it in the new future. How soon will the drive become available?

Check Zipzoomfly for harddrive deals. They have the 250gb and 320gb models for cheaper than Newegg. On a good day you can get the 320gb 7200rpm drive from Zipzoomfly for between $60 and $85 after rebates. ZZF has some great deals lately.
I would stick with Hitachi, WD and Seagate for reliability. Fujitsu is also good, except many people would just get a drive from the bigger manufacturers.
The 250Gb 7200rpm drive and the 80Gb 7200rpm drives are the fastest mechanical drives, based on their head movement. The 80Gb only uses the outer part of the disc, making it the fastest mechanical drive at the moment.
The 250Gb uses more of the outer edge of the disc than the 160 and 320gb drives do, helping to make the 250Gb faster than the 320gb drive.

Did I hear this correctly that Fujitsu stopped its harddrivefactories or sold them? Wat happens to the customers?

320GB with 7,200 RPM came to the market a long time ago unless Fujitsu just recently innovated them. I heard the 500GB came out but still relatively expensive.
