Atheros wireless cards are often worth it, but if you only have limited amount of money, upgrading to, RAM/HD would be a better investmemt

I am an atheros user, completely love it. But I don't find it as a wise investment to spend money to upgrade from an intel. UNLESS, you don't have 802.11a and need that (Intel 2915 are already 'a' enabled), or your intel card is giving you a ton of problems connecting to a router and all known solutions have failed.

But if you are making a new notebook purchase and have the option to pick one, atheros is a better option, even if it cost "slightly" more!

Atheros makes a great wireless card. For $60, I think it is worth the money.

If you don't feel like spending that much, then you could try the Intel PROSet 2915 A/B/G card, it's what I use. I haven't had any problems. ;)

Eh, there is one in Toronto? :p

Yea, I love my card as well, I'm SO glad I upgraded it from the 1915 Intel card.
