Okay, so I need help choosing a better wifi card since the intel 4965agn doesn't have AP. To my knowledge the 6xxx series supports AP, which I need to setup an infrastructure network on the go. My choices are: Ultimate-N 6300, Advanced-N 6230, and Advanced-N 6205. but I am not too sure on compatibility due to the release time of these cards and they are mini?

The 6300 requires 3 antennas and supports up to 450mbps
The 6230 is the same as the 6200, but has built in Bluetooth I believe.
The 6200 requires 2 antennas ans supports up to 300mbps

As for size, I'm not sure, but you can always buy a full size adapter.

    1. There are 2 wires(B/W) so I can't use the 6300?
    2. I have a BT module, so will I have 2 BT devices active, or will they conflict?

    1. You could add a 3rd wire, by routing it up into the lid of the notebook. That's too much work for me :) I'd get the 6200, I have one in my Envy.

    2. I'm not sure?

Thanks, I will stick with the 6200. I really don't wanna to all that wire mess, I had "extra" screws the last time I disassembled by laptop. Hopefully this card will be sufficient for AP tether.

You can most definitely run the 6300 with only two wires. It will perform like a 6200, but it will work at least so it's up to you whether you think you might want a third antenna down the road. Also, you'll need a half-height to full height bracket i think. You can find those dirt cheap on ebay.

Down the road I was hoping to retire this thing, but my current card has bad driver support. I can't see the 6300 being needed since my ISP(optimum) doesn't exactly have breakneck speeds.
