My computer was in hibernate had 90% battery and it wont start up. I plugged in the power the lights where its plugged are on but the charging lights in front are not on. I tried to start the computer and wont start. But went I took the battery out and the computer plugged in is started. So my question is what is going on. Its a new dv6000 and I'm wondering if I should take it back. Thanks guys.

Firstly i would call up HP support, it sounds like it could be a battery problem - see what they say, i wouldnt reinstall XP just yet.
