    Hello all,

Ive recently purchased a sager np9150.

I plan, when I get it to throw in an msata ssd to use as cache. now Ive read up about msata ssd and am finding that to use an ssd as a cache drive software is neccesary. Ive looked at the Nvelo software, but learned that it is only available to OEMs.

I guess what i am asking is if it is possible to do what i want to do? If so what software do i need and where can i get it?

Btw, the msata ssd I am looking at is the OCZ Nocti 60 gb. Is that a good msata, if not can anyone give me any reccomendations.

Im not really interested in getting a standard ssd as i need a lot of storage space and cant really afford a large ssd. Ive considered just installing the OS on the OCZ as a boot drive, but would like to avoid that if possible.

Thanks in advance for any help given.

Im also considering a np9150, and probably if end up with it, im also thinking on msata + hhd, I would wait for Micron C400 mSATA (128GB) SSD or the Samsung PM830 SATA 3 256GB mSATA SSD, niether is out on retail but should be soon, if you go msata for i got my eyes on a Samsung SpinPoint SATA 5400rpm 8 MB Cache 1 TB 2.5-Inch Hard Drive (M8 HN-M101MBB)

Another option is just to go with ssd and use it in the normal hdd slot, and add the optical/hdd caddy, this is if you dont need the optical or willing to go external if you do, i personally find my self never using it, only on windows installs, and even then you can go usb now, so its a viable option.
