Weird problem here on my toshiba. When i move the screen up or down, Windows will make the sound when you plug some sort of peripheral in or unplug it. I notice that moving it back usually makes the sound of removing a device and moving forward makes the sound of inserting a device.
    Really weird.

Could it be the webcam? Maybe the wire is not connected properly?

Checked device manager. Yeah the webcam disappears when I move the screen a bit backward. I guess it is the wire. Bleh this is my dad's laptop anyway and we won't be using the webcam anytime soon but the sound is annoying lol.

Try taking apart the screen and re-seating the cable.

If that doesn't work you will need to look for a new cable or do some soldering to repair the old one. Might also think about making your own cable (usb only has 4 wires inside).

You think it's broken by now? I mean the cable? Or is it just a connector? Wonder why it's happening, never took it apart before.. Also, thanks for replying so quick.

The cable might be broken. But you might be lucky and find that disconnecting and reconnecting the cable would fix the problem.

most likely the cable is broken, over time from opening and closing the lid you will wear out the wire/wire insulator.
