before i begin, i know this is a lot to read, but i REALLY need help with this serious problem and i REALLY appreciate it if you can help :D

Hey guys, i have a mouse issue with my desktop. my desktop is a dell dimension 2400, im using windows xp home edition, and i got it with a mouse and keyboard. they keyboard still works, but shortly after installing these logitech wireless devices (keybord and mouse --- connected via USB), my mouse has stopped working. i used to be able to use both simultaneously. my keyboard still works tho. now, when i go to control panel, and acccess mouse properties, and then hardware, it says there is only 1 mouse connected, the HID compliant mouse (the logitech wireless usb one) and it does not detect the original dell mouse that is connected via mouse port. when i go to keyboards, it says both are connected (HID compliant logitech keyboard, and microsoft PS2 blah blah). i have a feeling my mouse port is turned off or something. is there anything i can do?!?!? this is very important because i am only borrowing the wireless mouse and keyboard. is my mouse dead and do i have to buy a new one?

thanks a billion for yout help. i know this was a lot to read and once again, i REALLY appreciate it if you read it all and can help me out :D.

You should be able to configure the mouse in the bios. I believe the options are using a usb keyboard and mouse. You just have to toggle enable , then save changes and reboot.

    Hope this helps
