Anyone have a realistic idea of when we'll start seeing these in notebooks? Is it worth the wait or should I just go w/ a core duo this summer?

Merom notebooks will most likely show up in Q1 2007

in my opinion it will be just like Yonah, you will see roughly 1-3 Meroms laptops in Jan, then like 4-6 new one in Feb, 10+ in March, April over 10+ and stuff like that...

LTXX it really depends on how long you can wait bro.

    Thanks,

I agree - you won't see a huge flood of Merom notebooks until about 2-3 months after its release at the least.

get a notebook with yonah, you could replace it with a merom at the end of this year, they're pin-compatibles.

while they are pin compatible that dosent make them comptible. You would need a bios update aswell and theres no garuntee that your manufacturer will release it.
