    Hi there

I have a MEDION Erazer M97833 gaming laptop. It is the version with the i7-2630QM CPU, SSD and GTX460M. I have read elsewhere on this forum that this lappy is a rebranded MSI GT683 and the case seems to be identical.

I would like to know if it is possible, easy or even desirable to upgrade the graphics card in the machine to something more up to date and beefy, and have seen a youtube video that suggests the barebones model can be upgraded (LINK: MSI GT683 Barebones laptop with upgraded Nvidia GTX 560 m 1.5 gigs - YouTube). There are also videos showing the full removal of the graphics card, i.e. it is not hard soldered to the board.

Can anyone advise how I might go about changing the 460 for a newer card, say the GTX680M? If not, would an older but still more capable card be possible? EDIT: Or perhaps a second GTX460M in SLI, if this is achievable in one case?

Final question - I am UK based and am struggling to find suppliers that sell laptop cards. Any thoughts or suggestions?

    Cheers chaps / chapesses ;)
