    Hey Guys/Gals,

I've been wading through countless numbers of threads on the Media Direct Button, and I haven't been able to get a conclusive answer to my question.

So, all I want to know IS:
When I install my Vista on a clean HD, ONE partition, will it erase my data if I accidentally press the Media Direct Button when my computer is off (I'm pretty sure it won't happen when my puter is on). Several people have claimed that it makes their current C: partition hidden, some have found that it's a second power button, others have it loading GRUB (whatever that is).

I just want to know what will happen, other wise I might remove the button and fill the gaping hole with something that doesn't move, so my yr. old daughter doesn't accidentally wreak havoc =D
