I have a Maxtor 500 GB external hd that I use as a 2nd backup for my music library that is stored on another 500 GB external hd. My question is, is there a way to set up the one-touch backup between the 2 externals? I don't want to have to keep track of what I've added to the primary backup that hasn't been added to the secondary, and want to find a way for it to just back up what isn't on the Maxtor yet.

if I can't use the one-touch backup, is there at least some easier way than manually keeping track of what hasn't been added to the 2nd backup yet?

There's always the XCOPY command with the appropriate switches set. I have never used the one-touch software; I reformat all my USB drives to NTFS as soon as I get them.

Btw, enjoy the pancake breakfast, and don't eat the yellow snow.

Try a folder syncing software. But I also use 2 external to save music and pics.
I just have a folder called updates and then I add the contents of that folder to each external.
